North Port United’ Tour making next stop at The City of North Port Commission Chambers

City Manager Jerome Fletcher's “North Port United” Tour, a series of community engagement and discussion sessions, is coming to the City of North Port Commission Chambers at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024

“North Port United” is aimed at bringing together City leadership and North Port residents to discuss the future of our growing city.

Sessions have been held in various parts of the City and have touched on topics including the City’s Charter Amendment Referendum, Commission Elections, budget, zoning, the widening of Price Boulevard, the future of Warm Mineral Springs Park and more.

“This is an exciting time to be in North Port, with a lot of change and growth happening all around us,” said City Manager Jerome Fletcher. "Events like these are a great way for the public to hear the latest information from their City officials and ask questions and engage with us about the issues that matter to them and affect their quality of life.”

The tour is sponsored by North Port Forward, a nonprofit organization that encourages F2F dialogue and civic involvement.

The September 17th event will include a brief presentation and an opportunity for citizens to have their questions answered by City staff.

Registration is required. Each person must register individually. Light refreshments will be served.

North Port Forward welcomes residents to a Community Conversation

Our new series of community engagement sessions, is coming to the North Port Public Library at 6 pm, Wednesday, October 16, 2024

Guest speaker Bruno Kapacinskas Government Affairs Regional Manager, Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD).

SWFWMD was established in 1961 to operate and maintain several large flood protection projects. Our responsibilities have expanded to include managing water supply and protecting water quality and the natural systems.

North Port residents are urged to attend to learn about our most precious natural resource - Water

The Community Conversation Series is sponsored by Loyalty Lawn and Landscape of Venice
